Planetary Transits (Gochar) Today
See today's planetary transits (Gochar): the sign and degree of every planet now and its house from your Lagna and from your Moon sign.
About this tool
Gochar means transit: the movement of the planets through the zodiac today, read against your own birth chart. Planets are counted from your Lagna and, especially, from your Moon sign.
This table shows each planet's sign and degree today and the house it occupies from your Lagna and from your Moon. The slow planets, Saturn and Jupiter, matter most because they stay in a sign for a long time.
Frequently asked questions
Which date does it use?
Today's date at the moment you press Calculate. Come back any day for the latest positions.
Why count from the Moon?
Tradition reads transits mainly from the natal Moon sign, which is why Sade Sati and similar periods are measured from it.
What do "retrograde" planets mean here?
A retrograde planet appears to move backwards for a while. Tradition reads this as a period of review rather than progress.
